While Kate Middleton due date nears, the final stages of planning and decorating the nursery for her and Prince William's new bundle of joy are coming into place.

Good Morning America reported that the pregnant Duchess of Cambridge visited a number of baby boutiques in search of baby necessities that reflect her simple and elegant personal style.

PEOPLE magazine noted six shops where the 31-year-old mom to be have been racking up baby items, which includes: Trotters, Peter Jones, Blue Almonds, Windows, Bernard Thorp and Dragons of Walton Street.

Owner Iza Minkiewicz of Blue Almonds told PEOPLE last month that Middleton purchased a wicker crib, in which she gushed about how classy the Duchess was.

"She was so nice," she says. "It was completely unexpected," Minkiewicz said.

Dragons of Walton Street, which seems to be Middleton's favorite was too pricey for her, as her recent shopping trip to the store was very brief.

"It's very, very expensive and quite old-fashioned," an onlooker said.

E! News noted that so far, Middleton has purchased a Moses basket, priced at $450, and a Bugaboo's chameleon stroller, detailed in jewel blue accented with black-and-white stripes.

Meanwhile, though Middleton and Prince William have yet to discover the gender of their baby, a bookmaking firm in the UK have taken bets on a baby girl.

According to Coral Bookmakers, the name Diana has a 6-1 chance of being selected, while the name Charlotte is also a favorite, gambling for a 6-1 chance.

"We've seen more money [recently], and that has been further supported by the gamble on Charlotte, which is now second only to Alexandra in the name betting," Coral's spokesman David Stevens said.

The Duchess is expected to give birth around July 11.

Reports indicated that after Middleton gives birth, she will move back to the Middleton family home in Berkshire.
