The Real Reason Usher And Grace Miguel Called It Quits Is Not The Lawsuit Scandal

When news of Usher’s split from his wife of two years, Grace Miguel, first made headlines, it was safe to say that a woman’s accusation he gave her Herpes must have been the clear reason for their breakup.

Now, new reports have claimed that the two were having trouble long before his sex life became a topic of conversation.

Why They Split

“They’ve been fighting non-stop over the past year,” one insider said Wednesday.

Over what? Apparently, it is whether or not they are going to have more children. Usher is a father of two children, Naviyd, 9, and Usher V, 10. Miguel is a mother of a son and daughter, where both are already teenagers.

Still, it is Miguel who wanted to expand their family and to have more children. Usher is not a fan of it, however. Interestingly enough, they were able to agree on having more children, but the method of doing so is said to have caused their separation.

Miguel, who is 46, is unable to conceive and carry children because of her age, although, it doesn't stop her from wanting to be a mom again.

“Grace wanted to have a surrogate, but Usher was only willing to adopt,” added the insider. “He didn’t want a surrogate at all. Ultimately, he was the deciding factor of them not having a kid together.”

Do Those Allegations Play A Part?

While the accusation of women back in August that Usher gave them herpes isn’t the cause of the split, it certainly played a factor. It put a strain on them and they couldn’t help but argue about it all the time.

Miguel was reportedly not bothered by the women’s claims, according to TMZ. One woman sued Usher for $20 million, with claims that he gave her herpes after she hooked up with him at least two times in 2017. The same woman was also friends with Usher’s first wife, Tameka Raymond, and attended their wedding back in 2007.

Her history with Usher, as well as his alleged thoughts that the woman had it out for him are reportedly the reasons Miguel wasn’t worried about the lawsuit or accusations. A judge eventually tossed out the case.

Still Friends

Usher and Miguel released a joint statement together announcing their separation. They said they “remain deeply connected” and maintained that the breakup is an amicable and peaceful one.
