Jennifer Garner And Ben Affleck: Is There Hope For Them To Get Back Together?
While Ben Affleck has moved on after his divorce from Jennifer Garner, recent speculations suggest that the actor wanted to get back with his wife. The two split in 2015 after 10 years of marriage.
The Exes' Struggle
Rumor has it that Affleck longed to get back with Garner after the two publicized their separation in 2015. Even though Garner had gone through great efforts to help Affleck get back on his feet amid his struggle with alcohol abuse, his revelation that he wanted his wife back was “too little too late” for Garner.
“She put her heart and soul into fixing the relationship and wanted so desperately to turn things around for the children’s sake as well as theirs,” said a source. “She forgave him for so much, and still he couldn’t change.”
Garner reportedly went to see Affleck every day when he was in rehab. They even went to counseling in hopes of mending their broken marriage. At the time, it appeared that there could be a glimmer of hope for a turn in the right direction as they “both wanted it to work.”
Interestingly enough, rumors further state that Affleck returned Garner’s affection after the divorce papers were filed last April. Still, Garner made it clear by then that she had “no interest” in getting back with Affleck.
Sooner than later, Garner realized she would have to struggle with Affleck for a longer period of time than she preferred to. The insider added that it's the reason why they decided to go their separate ways along with a few other factors.

A separate insider shut down speculation that Affleck wanted Garner back and said they both decided their marriage was over for good when they filed for divorce. Plus, Affleck has been dating his girlfriend Lindsay Shookus, a producer for NBC’s Saturday Night Live, for almost a year.
“He loves and adores her,” said one insider. “This is a relationship he takes seriously.”
Jennifer Garner Is Ready To Mingle
As for Garner, she is reportedly ready to start dating again after her back-and-forth with Affleck, considering it’s been almost three years now since they decided to split. She has already gone out with a few guys in Los Angeles, one who is said to look like her ex-husband. Meanwhile, she's going viral on the internet and getting back into acting.
Although there is currently no hope in the two to reunite as a couple, they are still in contact with each other as they have three children together.
