Jim Carrey has been expressing his opposition to U.S. President Donald Trump and his party through art recently, drawing ire and praises alike from people. His latest artwork is a distorted representation of Trump's lawyer Joe diGenova.

Trump's Lucky Charm

Carrey portrayed diGenova as a puppet, more specifically, a troll in his latest artwork which he shared on Twitter on Wednesday. The cartoon shows Trump looking all sweaty as he gazes at his rearview mirror while a troll representation of DiGenovia sits with a smile on his face on the car's dashboard.

The actor described the lawyer as Trump's "lucky charm" since he puts "Dirty Donald's troubles in the rearview mirror." Carrey even makes a pun and cites the common warning sign found in car mirrors about the "objects in the mirror being closer than they appear."

The post has since been retweeted 2,169 times and liked 12,881 times as of this writing. The art drew different reactions from commentators. Others complimented it while some thought it is a waste of the actor's energy to express opposition to the U.S. President into his artwork, instead of being vocal about it like Robert De Niro and Meryl Streep.

"You need to sell prints of these! I want a signed copy! Great work and message is clear!" one fan wrote, while another said, "Keep up the great political art work. There are more people for you than against you @JimCarrey.

"Wow Trump is living rent free in this wacko's head. Kind of childish art technique as well," another Twitter user commented.

Other Portraits

A day before he shared his DiGenovia portrait, he painted Trump as the Wicked Witch of the West from The Wizard of Oz. He also cited Russian President Vladimir Putin in his artwork. The painting drew ire from people, who suggested that the Dumb and Dumber actor should have himself treated in the head.

"You really ought to check yourself in somewhere. You need some serious help. I mean around the clock help by a team of leading specialists. People watching and observing 24-7," one Twitter user said.

Carrey also revealed his artwork for Trump's White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders three days ago, which earned him a few demeaning words from her father, former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee. He called the actor a "bigot," a "sexist," and a "bully," to name a few.

Carrey has been using his talent in art to express his opposition to Trump and members of his cabinet party. The Ace Ventura star, who learned painting around six years ago, rarely namedrops the subjects of his portraits although some are notably prominent political figures.
