Chrissy Teigen brought up the alleged sexual harassment allegations filed against Bill O'Reilly after the latter criticized her husband John Legend's performance on NBC's Jesus Christ Superstar.

Savage Teigen

Teigen clapped back at the former Fox News host after he threw a jab at Legend for taking on the titular role in the live show. NBC aired the musical on Sunday night and among those who tuned in to the singer's performance was O'Reilly. Unlike others who praised Legend and the modern take on the Biblical story, the outspoken journalist was less of a fan.

O'Reilly's commentary earned a swift response from Teigen who had been live-tweeting about Jesus Christ Superstar. The model was not one to mince words in her reply.

O'Reilly's Scandal

Teigen's response is in reference to O'Reilly's alleged sexual harassment scandal, in which he paid a $32 million settlement. In January 2017, former Fox News analyst Lis Wiehl accused the 68-year-old television host of repeated sexual harassment.

An exposé from the New York Times revealed that there were other women who had accused O'Reilly of sexual harassment. They too received money to keep them quiet. 21st Century Fox, Fox New's parent company, reportedly paid five other women $13 million in settlements that prevented them from speaking publicly about the host's sexual misconduct.

However, the allegations already tainted O'Reilly's reputation as a credible host. Advertisers boycotted his show and protesters called for him to be ousted from the network. Fox eventually fired him last April.

O'Reilly has yet to reply to Teigen's jab. Other Twitter users, on the other hand, applauded the model for her curt comeback.

"This was the most savage thing I've ever read. Amazing," one user commented, while another wrote, "And that ladies and gentlemen is how you do it! Bam!"

Meanwhile, another fan of Legend complimented the Grammy-winner for his portrayal of the savior in Jesus Christ Superstar.

"Really @BillOReilly That's all you see while watch this show full of amazing talent? Yeah those tats are what it's all about. Uggghhh, glad I'm not a fan of yours. Oh and @chrissyteigen , your husband is killing it and I'm from the Ted Neeley time of #JesusChristSuperstarLive," a fan named Diane Montague said.

"This tweet was for all of us and thank you!!! (P.S. The show was amazing!!)," another fan wrote.

Meanwhile, Legend thanked Teigen for coming to his defense and tweeted "I love my wife" in response to her jab at O'Reilly.
