Justin Bieber And Selena Gomez Nearly Have ‘Awkward’ Encounter At Weekly Church Service

Hillsong Church members had a superstar run-in when they attended their weekly church service at the Beverly Hills religious institute.

Bieber And Gomez Reunite...Sort Of

On-again, off-again music supercouple Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez arrived separately to the Hillsong Church. The "Somebody to Love" singer arrived at the church in his Lamborghini and was reportedly seen in good spirits as he wore a navy cardigan sweater over a white t-shirt and a pair of khakis. When he arrived at the church service, onlookers noticed the phrase "Cash Only" graffitied onto the car. Insiders pointed out that the phrase was associated with Bieber's friend, Joe Termini.

Meanwhile, Gomez was seen entering the church wearing white tennis shoes, blue jeans, and a long sweater. The "Hands to Myself" singer was noticed walking into the church carrying her copy of the Holy Bible. Sources believe that the duo kept their distance at the service.

Baskin And Monsters

Before Bieber and Gomez nearly had an awkward encounter at the Hillsong Church, the singer welcomed 22-year-old Baskin Champion to his home. She has been seen by the singer's side as he continues to adjust his life without Gomez. Elle Magazine reported that the model was spotted arriving at Bieber's home. Champion was photographed wearing blue jeans, gray high heels, and a long-sleeved white top.

As Champion spent time with Bieber, Gomez made an appearance at a press event for Hotel Transylvania 3. Gomez also looked jubilant as she was seen photographed alongside her co-star, Andy Samberg.

Bieber's Rough Patch

While Bieber was smiling as he walked into the Hillsong United church service, it seemed hard for the "Despacito (Remix)" performer to shake off a rough couple of days. Bieber is reportedly unhappy that he is not allowed to talk to Gomez throughout their "break." The singer has been trying his best to keep his mind off Gomez by hanging around with friends. However, it was reported that Bieber sprained his ankle while he was playing soccer on Saturday, April 7, in Los Angeles. Eyewitnesses said he was hanging around with a friend as he clutched his ankle in pain.

As Gomez continues to come off her second public event of the year, an insider close to the singer's camp stated that she has been impressed with Bieber's break behavior. While Gomez is still thinking positively about Bieber, she is allegedly unhappy at her ex-boyfriend, The Weeknd, for burning her in one of his new tracks. The source added that Gomez is relieved that she did not collaborate with him.
