Lamar Odom took some time to think about Kanye West's supportive tweet. Odom has just thanked West for reaching out to him.

A Sweet Throwback

On Monday, April 16 West shared a touching tweet about Odom's miraculous recovery following his 2015 drug overdose. The incident landed Odom in hospital, where he suffered a number of debilitating strokes.

"I used to go to the hospital and play Lamar the album when he was learning to walk and talk again. Then we walked into the arena together," wrote West, accompanied by a throwback photo of the two men together.

He was referring to the moment when the two of them walked onstage for West's 2016 Madison Square Garden show, on his Saint Pablo tour. At the time, Odom was still in recovery after the overdose, which left him in a coma.

Filled With Gratitude

Odom didn't respond immediately, but when he did, the tweet was filled with warmth and gratitude for West's ongoing support.

"Glad I could be there 4 u bro like u came thru 4 https://t.co/p3ZuCAIfv9 was a big stage 2 be on after everything I went thru but it was worth it @kanyewest," he responded.

Odom was married to West's sister-in-law, Khloe Kardashian, for four years. The two starred in the Keeping up with the Kardashians spinoff show, Khloe & Lamar together.

Kardashian filed for divorce in 2013, following years of struggle with Odom's drug addiction and allegations of infidelity against him.

Ongoing Support

The extended Kardashian-Jenner clan rallied around Odom during his health battle, in spite of the disintegrating relationship between him and Khloe. Kim Kardashian-West spoke on KUWTK at the time about how her husband, Kanye West, spent time with Odom while he recovered.

"Kanye really felt we can cure him through music, like we can get him to talk. He would go to the hospital and he would rap and sing, and I think Lamar started to get his function back and started to talk once he started to listen to a lot of music," she said.

Recently, a source claimed Odom would be willing to give his relationship with Khloe another try, following cheating allegations against her current partner and the father to her daughter, Tristan Thompson.

Video footage surfaced last week purporting to show Thompson with two other women.

Willing To Give It Another Try

Now, Odom is reportedly realizing he didn't treat Kardashian as well as he could have while they were together and he's looking for another shot. Odom is even looking to reach out to the new mother but isn't sure whether his support would be appreciated.

"Lamar feels terrible for Khloe. He wasn't sure if he should reach out and see how she's doing. He feels for her," a source revealed.

Kardashian gave birth to her daughter True just last week in Cleveland.
