A fan who only wanted to get an autograph from Cardi B gets a beating instead from Offset's entourage after he heckled the rapper outside a Manhattan hotel.

Cardi B stunned and wowed the crowd during her appearance at the 2018 Met Gala in New York City when she arrived wearing an ornate headpiece and a beaded golden Moschino gown that showcased her baby bump. The rapper's wardrobe is a nod at the event's theme, Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and The Catholic Imagination.

However, the ruckus that happened after the engagement is getting the media attention now. Apparently, Cardi B and her fiancé Offset got themselves involved in a brawl between a fan and Offset's entourage on Monday night. The commotion happened when the couple stepped out of The Mark Hotel in New York.

A video of the said altercation has now been making the rounds online, courtesy of TMZ. In the clip, the autograph seeker, identified as 33-year-old Giovanni Arnold, asks for the "Bodak Yellow" rapper's autograph. Cardi B did not entertain his request nor did she stop to acknowledge him but proceeds to her waiting car.

"Just asked for an autograph, damn! Don't shoot me over an autograph, now. Don't beat me up over an autograph," Arnold says in the video.

Offset happens to pass by and tells the fan to shut up or he will beat him up.

"Shut up, bro, before a n***a beat you out here," Offset tells the fan.

The Beat Up

Arnold literally asks for the beating when he responded to Offset's taunt.

"Aw man, for an autograph? Damn, that's serious. I'll take all your money bro. Please beat me up! Please, brother! Be a fool man," Arnold replied. He also gives the rapper some advice about investing his money instead of spending it on jewelry.

As Arnold continues to heckle Offset, a couple of men emerge from the same SUV Cardi B and Offset are in. They approached him and started to beat him up. A third man stomped on him. Onlookers were shocked to see the SUV speed away after the men beat Arnold.

Authorities are now investigating Offset and Cardi B's entourage over for misdemeanor assault. Arnold sustained back and neck injuries but is in stable condition after he was rushed to NY Presbyterian Hospital.

Arnold accused Offset of ordering the three men to beat him up because he did not like the way he approached the pregnant Cardi B. His attorney, Daniel Szalkiewicz, said that his client only wanted to get an autograph and called the beating an "unjustified ambush."
