The truth is out: Prince William does not watch "The Crown."

At least that is what Olivia Colman got out of him. The Oscar-winning actress got a blunt yet honest answer from the future king.

The actress plays the role of Queen Elizabeth in the Season 3 of the hit Netflix original. The new season will debut on November 17.

When Colman met the Duke of Cambridge at a recent reception at Buckingham Palace, she could not help but ask about whether he watches the show or not. She jokingly admits that she was embarrassed by his answer.

Coleman described the moment as something that "didn't go very well."

On Graham Norton Show on Friday, the actress revealed that Prince William approached and asked her what she was doing. Before she could answer, the Prince said that he actually knew what she was doing.

"I got so excited so I asked him if he has watched it," she continued. He gave Colman a firm "No" for an answer, though the actress noted that Prince William was still charming and lovely despite the bluntness.

Though this royal revelation is not the first one from Colman since she started playing the role of Queen Elizabeth, it still came as a surprise.

Back in October, the actress openly admitted that her husband stole a roll of tissue paper from the same reception. She said that they did it just to be able to tell others that they got their tissue paper from the "Buckingham Palace."

"He was very charming while I was very uncool," Colman told The Sunday Times (via People) when asked how she met the royal dad of three. She described him as someone who makes one feel special.

"It's like you are the most exciting person in the room," she added.

Yet, it has not been all bloopers for Colman since she started playing the role. Princess Anne, the royal daughter, made her a Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (CBE) for the services she rendered to the drama.

"The Crown" is a series about the royal family, yet it remains to be something unknown to Prince William.

Perhaps the real-life drama of living the royal life is already too overwhelming for him. The Duke of Cambridge and wife Kate Middleton are trying to give their children a normal childhood, and they are doing it for very good reasons.

Maybe the only question left to ask is this -- will the royal family ever want to watch a TV series about them?
