Scarlett Johansson is now a proud mother of two, and she's now opening up about the reason why she kept both of her pregnancies away from the public eye and her realizations with the people around her while carrying her two children.

Speaking in an interview with Vanity Fair, the mother of two candidly opens up why she was protective over her body when she was pregnant with her children with ex Romain Dauriac and husband, Colin Jost.

The reason why the "Black Widow" actress hid her pregnancy as she didn't want to be "scrutinized" by other people.

Johansson wanted to have her own feelings when her body started changing without other people telling the actress how they saw her, whether it was a positive or negative comment.

She also shared a realization while pregnant with her 7-month-old baby, Cosmo, saying people put "so much stuff" on her like "their hopes or their judgment or their desire, a lot of that is put on pregnant women." (via E! News)

Elsewhere in the interview, the "Avengers" star revealed that she was excited to have her babies in the past; there were downsides of pregnancies that she didn't like.

Although people congratulated her while expecting her children, some people scrutinized her, including women close to her who had been pregnant in the past.

"I also had a lot of not-great feelings about [pregnancy]... you expect it from men, but from women, it's like, 'Come on, girl, you've been through it," she added.

According to Page Six, Scarlett Johansson and her husband Colin Jost welcomed their first baby in August. The "Lucy" star hid her pregnancy from the public for over eight months.

Cosmo is not the actress' first child as she had Rose first with ex Romain Dauriac in August 2014. She previously opened up about co-parenting with her ex, saying it's hard to raise a child with someone she's not in a relationship with.

However, she and her ex had to do it as well as they could and prioritize their children over anything.

Prior to her husband today, she initially married Ryan Reynolds, but the relationship didn't last as they got divorced after three years, saying it's a different part of her life now, and she's now making more active choices.
