Robert Pattinson was ready to show fans he meant business as The Batman from day one.

The actor, along with his co-star Zoe Kravitz, sat down with Fox 5 DC recently to discuss the film that's been on everyone's minds: The Batman, Pattinson's debut foray into the ever-growing world of superhero movies.

The TV's Kevin McCarthy asked about that opening scene, the introduction of our new Batman, where he's beating up the gang on the subway tracks.

"I think that was the first thing we started rehearsing, and the entire fight was choreographed before I showed up, except for the last two punches...and I said 'I really think there should be some gratuitious ones, when he's clearly unconscious, just to really set us up with a different type of Batman."

"Unhinged," Kravitz agreed.

"And there's something about - you don't want to be too performative, and say 'I'm vengence.' I wanted to say it as the guys losing consciousness so that it goes into his dreams...I really want his future to be really damaged."

Pattinson said all of this with a sort of nonchalant laugh, so you know he really is perfect for this part. Kravitz even commented with surprise, "Whoa, you're twisted," and she worked with him the entire time.

You can see exactly how twisted it gets in The Batman, in theaters now.
