It's no secret that last night's Oscars were overshadowed by one of the most insane live moments in the show's 94 year history. Comedian Chris Rock got a rude awakening when he joked about Will Smith's wife, Jada Pinkett, and her bald head and received an open hand slap across the face by the King Richard star.

Whether or not Rock was aware of Jada's auto immune condition alopecia before making the joke is unknown at this time, but it sure did make for a social media firestorm with spectators trying to see the incident from every angle. Being that an event like that is rife with press and photographers, there is a lot to unpack in terms of the moment by moment stills which were captured before, during, and after the now infamous slap.

Rock can be seen on stage after the events unfolded, seemingly apologizing to Smith and Jada. Standing between Rock and the unhappy couple is fellow actor Denzel Washington, who was quick to console Smith along with Bradley Cooper and Tyler Perry. Smith even used Washington's words of advice during his Best Actor acceptance speech,

"At your highest moment, be careful, that's when the devil comes for you."

Later, you can see Rock backstage with the producer of The Academy Awards Will Packer. Some might have seen this as a planned stunt, at first, but it was very real. So much so that The Awards issued a statement on Twitter.

"The Academy does not condone violence of any form. Tonight we are delighted to celebrate our 94th Academy Awards winners, who deserve this moment of recognition from their peers and movie lovers around the world."

Fresh on the minds of those in attendance, even presenter P. Diddy chimed in to squash the beef during his time on stage saying,

"Will and Chris, we're going to solve this - but right now we're moving on with love."

Rock can be seen reacting the comment while watching backstage on the monitors.

All and all, the slap, warranted or not, was the highlight of the event and Enstarz will keep you posted as more news unfolds.
