Jennifer Lopez opened up about the physical paralysis she felt because of exhaustion.

JLo has been active in the industry since 1989, and just like everybody else, she reached her breaking point that it affected her health and life as a whole.

In the latest edition of her On the JLo newsletter, the 52-year-old actress spoke candidly about the time she felt physically paralyzed amid the severe panic attacks she faced in her late 20s. At that time, she became too much exhausted as she barely had sleep.

According to JLo, she used to have three to five hours of sleep every night since she had to be on set all day and in the studio in the night.

"Until one day, I was sitting in a trailer, and all the work and the stress it brought with it, coupled with not enough sleep to recuperate mentally, caught up with me. [I] went from feeling totally normal to thinking about what I needed to do that day and all of a sudden I felt as if I couldn't move," she said, as quoted by People.

Ben Affleck's girlfriend added that the physical symptoms started to cause fear, eventually leading to panic attacks.

Jennifer Lopez Transformed Herself After Health Issue

In the same release, JLo used her experience to inspire other people. She also shared how she changed herself and transformed the way she looks at her health.

The "Love Don't Cost a Thing" singer noted that her guard drove her to her doctor who told her that she needed nothing but sleep. She received advice like getting seven to nine hours of sleep, avoid caffeine, and doing workouts.

"I realized how serious the consequences could be of ignoring what my body and mind needed to be healthy - and that's where my journey to wellness began," she went on.

From there, the actress pushed herself to live a healthy and balanced life. The event also helped her come up with a wellness philosophy, turning it "about pro-living versus anti-aging."

Lopez surely takes care of herself even more as she chose happiness when she rekindled her relationship with Affleck. They got engaged in April, but they are reportedly not rushing their marriage.

For now, they began planning their future together carefully. In fact, Lopez and Affleck began house hunting as they both want to have a home in an exclusive, private neighborhood.
