Sadie Sink Reveals How She Still Became 'Max' After Director's Rejection

"If there is a will, there is a way." Perhaps, this is Sadie Sink's Motto in life.

Sink, an actress who plays the role of "Max" reveals that her way of getting the role is not as always people think happened.

In the casting process of the famous series "Stranger Things," Sink tried her luck but unfortunately, the casting directors rejected her, saying that she isn't fit for the role because she is "too old" to play the role of Max Mayfield.

But the actress thinks that "14" is not too old to be in the show that she wants so she did everything she could to get in the show and play the character of Max.

"I just begged and pleaded with them to give me more material so I could show them something fresh," she said.

Sink also feels that "Max's" character fits her so she never gave up until the producers of the show try her again and this time, she won. The actress was called to do a chemistry read with "Stranger Things" stars Gaten Matarazzo and Caleb McLaughlin.

Failure in the first attempt did not hinder her way up. After her next audition, she learned that she got the role and got in the show!

Living with the spotlight, Sink recalls her journey. Prior to becoming one of the known stars in the showbiz industry, the actress starred in different movies and even performed on Broadway. She even had guesting roles before in "The Americans" and "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt."

Sink also shares her thoughts on figuring out oneself amid character in the show "It's such a weird and specific situation that the 'Strangers Things' cast and I are all in because the world knows who our characters are but we're still trying to figure out who we are as people," she said. 

More so, the actress reflects about her journey after all these years saying that "...being in the industry accelerates you and you mature faster. But for the most part, it's just so fun because the cast is all going through it together."

Sadie Sink started her career when she was 11 years old and now the actress is a 20-year-old "Max" who joined the protagonist in Season 2 of the famous show, "Stranger Things."
