Ne-Yo Breaks Silence Following Wife Crystal Renay’s SHOCKING Accusations

Ne-Yo is currently facing controversy after his wife Crystal Renay publicized the state of their relationship, saying that her husband is cheating on her. More recently, the singer issued a statement regarding the incident, asking his fans for privacy.

Taking to his official Twitter account, the "So Sick" hitmaker said he and his family will work on the unresolved issues behind closed doors.

"Personal matters are not meant to be addressed and dissected in public forums. I simply ask that you please respect me and my family's privacy at this time," he added.

The recent tweet comes a day after Renay claimed that Ne-Yo has been lying and decepting her for the past eight years.

"8 years of unknowingly sharing my life and my husband with numerous women who sell their bodies to him unprotected...every last one of them!" she wrote. (via People Magazine)

She added that her husband told her to "stay and accept" what he's doing and she thinks it's "absolutely insane."

Renay noted that she will not lie to the public anymore and won't pretend that everything about their relationship is good.

"I gained 3 beautiful children out of this but nothing else but wasted years and heartache," she added.

The couple shares three children named Isabella Rose, Roman Alexander-Raj, and Shaffer Chimere Jr.

In addition to her explosive statement, Renay asked her followers and Ne-Yo's fans to stop sending her proof of her husband's cheating issue as what he does is not her concern anymore.

The recent allegations come a few months after they renewed their wedding vows in Las Vegas years after getting married.

After the ceremony, Ne-Yo spoke to the "People Everyday" podcast to discuss how the pandemic affected his relationship with his wife.

He noted that their relationship is in a better place at the time because they learned to listen to each other, slow down, and figure out their emotions.

"It's very easy to fall back into bad habits, but with that being said, marriage requires effort every single day and that's kind of what that is. And if the person is worth it, then the workload ain't that heavy," he concluded.

In early reports, Ne-Yo and Renay first met in 2015 and their initial meeting was "strictly business" because his wife was a model for his 2015 album "Non-Fiction."
