Ryan Reynolds a Diva!? T.J. Miller Reveals Real Reason He Won't Return to 'Deadpool'

Actor T.J. Miller reveals a "weird" encounter with Ryan Reynolds on the set of "Deadpool".

T.J. Miller is a comedian who rose to prominence for his role in the HBO sitcom "Silicon Valley". He also starred as Weasel, Wade Wilson's friend, and arms dealer, in the Marvel film "Deadpool", later on, reprising his role in the sequel, "Deadpool 2".

Ryan Reynolds' Diva Moment

However, in a recent interview on "The Adam Corolla Show", the "Deadpool" star talked about his upcoming comedy special, "Dear Jonah", and recalls an awkward moment during the set of the Marvel film. 

According to Miller, he and Ryan Reynolds were on good terms in the first "Deadpool" film as Reynolds was not a "huge movie star" just yet, until things changed during the set of the sequel film.

"We had a really weird moment on 'Deadpool' where he said, 'Let's do one more take.' And then, as the character, he was horrifically mean to me as if I'm Weasel." T.J. Miller recalled. "So he was like, 'You know what's great about you, Weasel? You're not the star, but you do just enough exposition so that it's funny, and then we can leave and get back to the real movie,'"

Weasel Won't Return to 'Deadpool' Threequel

Although T.J. Miller made it clear that the team did not ask him to reprise his role in the upcoming "Deadpool 3", he expressed that he would not agree to go back even if they pay him twice as much.

"I would not have done 'Deadpool 3' if they came to me and were like, 'We want you to do 'Deadpool 3,' and we're going to pay you twice as much,'"

T.J. Miller also expressed that while he has no plans to reprise his role, he wishes the best for former co-star Ryan Reynolds amidst his evident dislike for Miller.

"I think [Reynolds] should make a 'Deadpool 3' and continue to make movies. I just think he doesn't like me, and I thought it was weird how he expressed that. I'm at a place in my life where I don't need to do 'Deadpool 3,'" Miller

"Deadpool 3" is set to release on September 6, 2024, with Ryan Reynolds to return as Wade Wilson AKA Deadpool alongside Hugh Jackman as the Wolverine.
