K-drama fans have long been excited for South Korean actor Park Seo-joon's Hollywood debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film "The Marvels."

However, in the film's total runtime of 105 minutes, Seo-joon's screen time as Prince Yan of Aladna - Captain Marvel's ally - reportedly lasts about two to three minutes only.

Some fans shared their disappointment with the South Korean actor's short screen time in "The Marvels," especially because he appeared in one poster alongside the lead cast members, including Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, Iman Vellani and Samuel L. Jackson, and even had a solo promotional poster.

The "Hwarang," "What's Wrong with Secretary Kim" and "Itaewon Class" actor is only seen in the film for two minutes and 47.52 seconds only, per an uploader on theqoo - an online forum in South Korea.

"I thought he was one of the lead characters. I can't believe his screen time is less than the time it takes to cook cup noodles," one user wrote, while another claimed, "This puts a bad taste in my mouth. It just pisses me off how they are treating the Asian character."

"Three minutes? I thought it would last at least 15 minutes," stated another user.

Other users highlighted that Seo-joon's role is obviously not a main character in "The Marvels" but are glad that his appearance in the film sparked interest and discussion.

According to The Straits Times, some fans compared Seo-joon's brief appearance as Prince Yan in "The Marvels" to Hollywood stars who also had brief appearances in other Marvel films: Russell Crowe as Zeus in "Thor: Love and Thunder" in 2022 and Bill Murray as Lord Krylar in "Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania" this year.

Meanwhile, the 34-year-old broke his silence and talked about his brief screen time in the film. Per SBS Star, Seo-joon noted that his character "plays a crucial part" in the overall story even though its appearance in the film is very brief.

Despite only having less than three minutes of screen time in "The Marvels," the actor spoke about his role in the movie with pride.

"I think Aladna and 'Prince Yan' are the place and the figure that is important for showing the growth of 'Carol Danvers.' Some might think my part in the movie is too short, but I believe it plays a crucial part in the overall narrative of 'The Marvels,'" he added.

"The Marvels" follows the story of Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel, who "reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence."

However, the intended consequences would see her carrying the burden of a destabilized universe. Together with Kamala Khan as Ms. Marvel and her niece Captain Monica Rambeau of S.A.B.E.R., they will team up and save the universe as "The Marvels" and face the grave threat from Kree warrior Dar-Benn.
