Actress Molly Sims is going to be a guest star on the CW favorite The Carrie Diaries' on the upcoming second season, Us Weekly reported today.

Sims will reporetedly be playing a cougar who actually competes with Carrie Brashaw for hunky Sebastian's attention.

The actress will play Vicky, a sexy older woman who actually becomes involved with Bradshaw's much younger love interest. The former Las Vegas actress is reportedly expected to be in at least two espisodes of the Sex and the City prequel.

Sims tweeted how thrilled she is to be on the show today writing, "Love working in New York. So, so, so excited to be on The @CarrieDiariesCW!!" She accompanied a smily picture along with the cheerful tweet.

In addition to Sims joining the cast, newcomer Lindsey Gort will be introudced as the younger version of the notorious Samantha Jones.

Former Jones actress Kim Cattrall tweeted "@BRCarrieDiaries Wishing Lindsey Gort as much fun with Samantha Jones as I had. Break a leg! Kim."

The Inquisitr reported on July 24 that the shows executive producer Amy B. Harris said in a statement, "In another nerve-wracking search to create the amazing characters we all came to know and love on 'Sex and the City,' we went out in search this year for a young Samantha Jones," Harris said. "Lindsey Gort walked into the room and owned the part. Funny and sexy with a whiff of vulnerability and an amazing dash of outrageousness, Lindsey is our exciting choice to play the young Samantha Jones."

The Carrie Diaries returns Friday, Oct. 25 on the CW.
