Jimmy Fallon is finally opening up about his wife's struggle to get pregnant revealing their new baby girl was born via surrogate. In an upcoming interview with the TODAY show, the 38-year-old new dad explained how he and wife Nancy Fallon kept the baby news under wraps.

"My wife and I had been trying a while to have a baby," Fallon told Savannah Guthrie, in a pre-taped interview airing next week. "We tried a bunch of things -- so we had a surrogate."

The couple, who wed in 2007, decided to keep the pregnancy a complete secret.

"We said, 'We're not going to tell anybody,'" Fallon explained. "It'd be just more fun if it's just private between me and my wife. And then we get to introduce her to everybody."

The first-time parents welcomed Winnie Rose at 6:21 a.m. on July 23.
