Prince Harry probably has a chance to return to his royal duties, but not Meghan Markle, according to a royal commentator.

Reports claim that the Duke of Sussex has expressed his willingness to return to his royal duties temporarily after his father, King Charles, was diagnosed with cancer. His Majesty is undergoing treatment while his sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, is still recovering from abdominal surgery. Royal commentator Kinsey Schofield, host of the royal podcast "To Di is For Daily," recently joined Cristo Foufas on TalkTV, and they weighed in on the matter.

Foufas spoke about Prince Harry's brief visit to King Charles upon learning the latter had a cancer diagnosis and claimed he wasn't allowed to spend longer time with his father because "you know what's going to happen."

"That is now the problem, I mean, to go back to a serious point about him potentially offering to come and carry out royal duties, not on your life would you allow him to do that or his wife," Foufas said. "Because again, anything that happens will be through the prism of them having something to complain about, so that when they return to the States, they can then get big money to make it into a documentary, to make it into the interview, make it something like that."

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Duke and Duchess of Sussex leave after a service of thanksgiving for the reign of Queen Elizabeth II at St Paul's Cathedral in London, Friday, June 3, 2022 on the second of four days of celebrations to mark the Platinum Jubilee.

"I did read that neither side thought it was a good idea for Meghan to return to royal duties, that the only potential offer on the table would be Prince Harry," Schofield said.

GB News' TV presenter Eamonn Holmes also spoke about the same matter with royal biographer and commentator Angela Levin. According to him, he could still see a role for Prince Harry and the British public could be "quite forgiving to him, not her," to which Levin agreed.

"Well, obviously not her," Levin exclaimed. "But she will control it."

"She has to be in charge; we've seen that in everything. She always got to be in front. She pushes forward, she knows exactly what she thinks the monarchy should be, and she won't give in. She just won't," Levin added.

Several sources claimed that King Charles and Prince William share the same stand regarding Prince Harry's possible return to royal duties. His Majesty and the heir apparent are reportedly not open to having the Duke of Sussex serve the institution again after he left the firm to be financially independent four years ago.
