King Charles and Prince William share the same sentiment regarding Prince Harry's future in the monarchy, according to a report.

Prince Harry had reportedly expressed his interest in returning to his royal duties temporarily after his father's cancer diagnosis and while his sister-in-law Kate Middleton continues her recovery following her abdominal surgery. However, His Majesty is not open to having him back after he quit his royal duties in 2020, according to sources.

"Have the King and Harry been speaking? Yes," an unnamed source told Daily Mail. "Does this mean a return to the fold, even on a temporary basis? No. Aside from a small number of investitures, the King does not plan to offload a great number of duties on other family members while he undergoes treatment."

Another anonymous insider who spoke with the outlet claimed that Queen Elizabeth insisted that Prince Harry give up his royal affiliations and undertakings and not trade on his royal connections if he wanted to pursue business abroad. Nothing reportedly changed despite the King's cancer diagnosis.

"The terms of the accord were very clear, and nothing that has happened recently, including the King's illness, has changed that," the source said.

Irish journalist Kevin O'Sullivan of TalkTV also shared his opinions about Prince Harry's alleged interest in returning to his royal duties. According to him, the Duke of Sussex's brother and father didn't want him back.

"He doesn't understand the magnitude of the crime he's committed against that family. He thinks it's a shrug and 'Oh, let's forget about that. Come on back,'" Sullivan said of Prince Harry, referring to the things the royal exposed about his family in his previous interview and memoir.

"He's never coming back, and not only does William not want him back, nor does the king," the TV presenter added.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle sparked racist allegations against the royal family when they claimed that a member of the royal family raised concern about their then-unborn child's skin color. He also detailed an alleged physical brawl with Prince William in his book "Spare" and called King Charles a "cold" father.

Meanwhile, another insider who spoke with the Mirror about the same matter claimed that there was "no chance" for Prince Harry to return to his royal duties because his big brother wasn't open to it.

"Whatever has been discussed between William and the King is private, but it is absolutely and categorically clear that he (William) would not allow Harry to return. He thought it was a bad idea at the time, and he's even more clear now," a source with knowledge of the matter said.

"If anyone is going to take on more duties, it will be William, and that isn't even on the agenda for now. His main focus is on his father's health, his family and what is best for the monarchy. There is a zero percent chance Harry is coming back in any capacity."
