Michelle Obama Rocks Brandon Maxwell Strapless Top, Slick Ponytail Braid At 'Hell's Kitchen' Musical
Michelle Obama looked fashionable on her recent outing.
The former first lady shared two snaps of herself on social media after she attended the opening night of Alicia Keys' musical "Hell's Kitchen" in New York City on Saturday night. In one snap, she's joined by Keys, Oprah Winfrey, Gayle King and more.
In another photo, she seemed to be enjoying her chat with the "Empire State of Mind" singer. The ex-FLOTUS wore a belted Brandon Maxwell strapless top with a sheer long-sleeve shirt beneath, a pair of black cargo pants and pointed-toe heels, per WWD. She also styled her locks in a slick ponytail braid.
"@AliciaKeys, you've done it again! I absolutely loved every second of @HellsKitchenBway and found myself singing and dancing the entire night," Obama wrote on Instagram. "I know how hard you worked to bring this production to life, and I could feel your creativity and light shining all the way through. You and the cast should feel so proud! [red heart emoji]."
Obama's post received several responses from her followers, including Keys. Many also noticed her get-up and praised the ex-FLOTUS, with one saying the 60-year-old lawyer, writer and philanthropist looked much younger.
"My gorgeous sister!! We are so proud, and you are so generous to bring your love and energy to this amazing cast! They felt so beloved as do I [multiple prayer hands emojis]. Sisterhood is so beautiful and powerful!!" Keys commented.
"The way Mrs. Obama looks under 40 is blowing my mind," a second user remarked.
Another added, "First Lady, we all know that you are a phenomenal woman, I just popped in to say YOUR OUTFIT IS GORGEOUS! ..... the shoes [shoe emoji] too."

"Very nice picture of everyone. My best friend told me last week she saw you Michelle at Target in St. Louis Missouri. Oh, how I wish I was there to meet you. You are an inspiration to so many. I know your husband Barack did come to the town I'm from Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the time while running for President. Great picture again," another fan wrote.
Last week, Obama flew to St. Louis to speak at the National Council for Mental Wellbeing. During the trip, she visited Target after learning that the store was selling paperback copies of her book "The Light We Carry," which was released on April 16.
The former first lady shared a clip of her visit on X, formerly Twitter, saying she was on a "secret mission." Obama signed six copies of the book at the store and went shopping.
