The characters of Fox's New Girl are often unlucky in love, and Winston (Lamorne Morris) is no exception.
It seems to be his fate to be single once more at the start of season 3.
The athletes and radio host's current girlfriend, Daisy (Brenda Song, The Suite Life on Deck), will be around for one episode only.
"She will come back, I think, for one episode," said Lamorne Morris told TV Line. "It's so I can dump her! No, the writers would never let that happen. They'll make ME get dumped somehow."
Meanwhile, Song will be staring on the fellow Fox program, Dads.
While Winston has already suffered through unemployment and a bad breakup over the curse of the previous two seasons, now it appears he will be alone even as Schmidt will be having his pick of two woman.
The notorious player will have to decide between his current love, Cece, and his rediscovered feelings for his college girlfriend Elizabeth.
"It's a choice that he's still struggling with in the premiere," said executive producer Liz Meriwether, according to Unreality TV. "He genuinely cares about both women and he's just so confused about what to do. He's forced to take desperate measures to figure it out. He potentially does some things that are not good."
Winston's fellow roommate will have a girlfriend before episode 3, according to E!.
New Girl will return to Fox on Sept. 17.
