Kelly Clarkson clearly wasn't impressed with the performances at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday.

"Just saw a couple performances from the VMA's last night. 2 words.... #pitchystrippers," she tweeted on Monday.

Justin Timberlake Wins The Video Music Award For Video Of The Year

The 31-year-old, who was nominated for Best Video With A Social Message for People Like Us, didn't namedrop but there aren't too many females she could be talking about. The singer is either referring to Lady Gaga who sang her latest single Applause in a bathing suit or Miley Cyrus who gave a raunchy performance of We Can't Stop.

Cyrus entered the stage wearing a leotard with a teddy bear on it and twerked. She also slapped the butt of a female dancer. The former Disney star then took off the leotard to show off undergarments. She eventually backed it up on Robin Thicke who joined her on stage to perform his hit Blurred Lines.

A less likely target is Katy Perry who performed her new song Roar while standing in a boxing rink.

One Direction Wins Award For Best Song Of The Summer

Regardless of Clarkson's opinion, Gaga seems very proud of her comeback.

"That performance was so much fun I don't remember a thing! It felt so good to be on stage: there's no place like home *clicks ruby slippers*," she tweeted on Monday.

And Cyrus was more than amped for her performance at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.

"Today's already the f---ing best day ever! Just wait till VMAs tonight," she tweeted before the show on Sunday.

Selena Gomez, who won the award for Best Pop Video for Come & Get It, supported Cyrus' performance.

"Amazing. I thought it was awesome," she told The Associated Press backstage. "I love Robin Thicke, too, so I like that they collabo'd."
