Tina Fey and Amy Poehler confirmed that they will be considering hosting the Golden Globes next year.

Speaking with Ryan Seacrest on the 2013 Emmys red carpet, Fey revealed that they were considering the offer but she hadn't had the chance to speak to Poehler yet as the two found the time to meet.

"NBC has invited us," she confirmed to Seacrest when he asked her if they had actually been approached by NBC for the Golden Globes.

"We are going to talk about it tonight," she added, as the two of them would finally be in the same place together after a long time.

Poehler also joked about finally talking to Fey about it. "We talk about award shows at award shows," she laughed.

"The idea of getting to see tina in any form is nice," she added when Seacrest asked her if she will consider hosting the ceremony again.

The news of NBC approaching the duo was reported last month.

Dick Clark Prods, NBC and Golden Globes producer, had approached the duo to engage audiences with their inimitable dynamic on stage again. The deal was still at a very nascent stage. There were no active conversations between the network and the comediennes, who had received an informal invitation instead of a formal offer as NBC and Prods planned to make things official only if the women would be interested in taking it further.

The stellar collaboration of Fey and Poehler won over 20 million viewers of the Golden Globes in 2013. The duo were warmly received by critics, the film fraternity, and their performance also nailed very good ratings.

In the most recent past, Ricky Gervais went for a hat-trick, hosting the Golden Globes in 2010, 2011, and 2012. Unlike Fey and Poehler, Gervais had signed-up for a return in his original contract. Apparently Fey and Poehler had agreed to host the Golden Globes as a one time thing without any promises of renewing the gig. There is no telling if they will agree to host the show again. Both Fey and Poehler have their plates full, Fey has already signed on to do two comedy TV shows and Poehler is busy with the upcoming season of Parks and Recreation, which she both stars in and co-produces.
