As fans gear up for the season 9 premiere of How I Met Your Mother on Monday, the actress playing The Mother continues to tease fans with small little reveals.

Cristin Miliotti said she's so dedicated to proving she was the right choice to play the character central to the show's storyline for eight seasons, that she's even picked up learning a new skill to make her acting more authentic.

"I'm learning to pay bass," she told SheKnows.com,  "I'm attempting to teach myself again. In fact, one of the guys from Once who played the bass on our show, Will Connolly, is helping me. I'm playing one Radiohead bass line now."

"I look like I know what I'm doing, but I shouldn't jump up onstage with the Red Hot Chili Peppers anytime soon. I would embarrass myself," she continued.

Fans have known for years that the character can play the bass and Miliotti could make her appearance on the show in episode 10, Bass Player Wanted. Speculation based on revealed episode titles has many believing she won't actually meet Ted until episode 16, titled How Your Mother Met Me. However, according to TV Guide, the stars share a scene together in the premiere that shows they are indeed going to be the future couple.

"There's an ease with them," Miliotti said. "They are a great fit and have great chemistry. She's really sweet and lovable, but she's also a nerd with the same interests and dad humor like Ted. She gets him."

The publication revealed that Ted and The Mother, whose full name hasn't even been revealed to Miliotti yet, will meet on the train platform after the wedding sometime during the season. Miliotti added that there would be a a special episode that fans would love.

"I don't wanna give anything away, but we just shot some stuff that I think...is going to be really, really exciting and wonderful for fans of the show," she said. "There's one with Josh that I've shot that I'm very, very excited about. I'm sorry to be so cryptic!"

That special episode is set to air Nov. 4.

The special hour-long season premiere airs Monday on CBS at 8:00 p.m.
