Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Jimmy Fallon got into a lip-sync battle Tueday on Late Night that was received with an uproar of laughter from the audience and viewers at home.

Gordon-Levitt was Fallon's guest on the show and spoke about his upcoming film, Don Jon. The talk show host later challenged Gordon-Levitt and Stephen Merchant, who was also a guest on the show, to show how well they can lip-sync. Merchant tried Single Ladies by "Beyonce Z," working a hilariously clumsy impression of the pop singer in the song. Gordon-Levitt went wild with Elton John's Tiny Dancer and went on to entertain the audience with Minaj's Superbass, nailing it word for word and keeping up with its pace. Fallon impressed with the Eighties classic Take on Me by Aha.

Fallon similarily had a lip-sync battle with John Krasinski from The Office in May. When Gordon-Levitt was on the late night show in January, the pair engaged in a laser duel.

Don Jon hits heaters Sept. 27. Gordon-Levitt plays a modern day Don Juan named Jon Martello Jr. and Scarlett Johansson is Barbara Sugarman, one of his love interests.

Jon earned the nickname because of his highly promiscuous lifestyle, objectification of women and addiction to porn. The film explores his eventual dissatifaction with porn, which leads him to seek out a more gratifying sex life. He starts to see things differently with the help of two women.

The film is directed and written by Gordon-Levitt, marking his directorial debut in a feature film. Tony Danza, Julianne Moore and Brie Larson also star in the movie.
