The football team at LSU will be facing off against Mississippi State at 7 p.m. EST on ESPN.

The 10th ranked LSU Tigers (4-1) are coming off a 41-44 loss against Georgia last week and are looking to bounce back with a win Saturday. The unranked Mississippi State Bulldogs are 2-2 this season but might have the advantage of playing on their home turf at the Davis Wade Stadium at Scott Field, Starkville, Miss. Saturday.

Mississippi State quarterback Tyler Russell will start in Saturday's game after sitting out since the team's opening game against Oklahoma State. Russell was struck with a concussion, meaning former LSU recruit Dak Prescott has had to fill in in place of Russell.

Mississippi State head coach said that both Russell and Prescott should be playing in Saturday's game.

"That's the plan," Mullen said in an SEC conference call this week. "He's looked good. Dak's looked good. We've had a pretty good week of practice with both guys. We'll see how it goes Saturday."

As for LSU, quarterback Zach Mettenberger is among the top 10 nationally in yards per attempt and passer rating. He threw for 372 yards against Georgia last week and has completed 13 touchdown passes with only one interception.

LSU wide receiver Javris Landry has already ratcheted up 520 yards receiving; comparatively, he had 573 yards receiving in total in 2012. Together with fellow wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., they have 60 total receptions this season.

All time, LSU has an advantage over Mississippi State with 68 wins versus Mississippi State's 35 wins with 3 draws.
