Episode 4 of New Girl, titled The Captain, will show Nick (Jake Johnson) and Jess (Zooey Deschanel) spice things up in the bedroom as Schmidt (Max Greenfield) tries to sabotage their relationship.

Nick and Jess near their one month anniversary but Schmidt is up to no good and is scheming to break them up. He convinces Jess to try an infamous sexual manouver called The Captain, suggesting that Nick loves it. Eager to please her lover, Jess follows intently as Schmidt gives her all the dirty, obnoxious details.

"Jess gets some interesting advice on how to spice things up in the bedroom with Nick," Hannah Simone, who plays Cece on the show, said in a teaser for the episode.

Schmidt tells Jess that he has a P.H.D in Nick-ology and she blindly trusts him. The teaser video provides glimpses of Nick's disgusted reaction to The Captain, although it doesn't seem like he lets Jess know early on.

Johnson weighed in on the sex tip Schmidt gave to Jess, saying that he doesn't love The Captain but that the couple will endure.

"They're really strong, they are going through the bumps that happen in a relationship," he said. "They're communicating like adult human beings."

He also goes on to offer insight on his character's relationship with Schmidt: "Whereas Schmidt and Nick's relationship, hopefully keeping his greasy fingers out of the action but you know, he is a slippery dude."

While Schmidt is playing the devil trying to sabotage the romantic relationship between his friends, Cece is happy for her best friend, Jess.

"I think Cece likes Jess happy and Nick makes her happy," Simone said.

Pop Sugar recently published pictures of the cast -- Deschanel, Greenfield, and LaMorne Morris -- out on the beach shooting an upcoming episode.

The Captain airs Tuesday at 9 p.m. E.T. on FOX.
