Valerie Harper was eliminated from Dancing With The Stars on Monday.

The other groups in the bottom were Brant Daugherty and Peta Murgatroyd as well as Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Sasha Farber.

"It was an opportunity for me to carry a message to folks, not just with cancer, whatever they have, whatever challenge, like our song tonight, keep on, keeping on," Harper said on last night's episode. "It has been absolutely wonderful, completely unique like nothing else in the world."

The 74-year-old performed the Viennese waltz to Fun's Carry On with her partner Tristan MacManus. The judges gave the duo a score of 6-6-6.

One of the judges, Julianne Hough, praised Harper by saying, "I don't think I've had the chance to tell you how brave you are."

Harper, who started in The Mary Tyler Moore Show and Rhoda, announced earlier in the year that she was battling terminal brain cancer.

"When we first started working together my darling Tristan was saying, 'Do you have pains? Do you headaches? Do you have memory problems?' I said, no at the time," she told ABC after her elimination. "When you have cancer and they say you have three months in January and it's suddenly October you've got to feel good about that."

Before the show began, Harper said she wanted to set an example for other cancer patients.

"I don't mean (that they should) get on Dancing With the Stars, but maybe they'll just get off the couch or maybe they'll enjoy the garden instead of crying or being so depressed about losing their life in such a mean way," she said on The Today Show. "But the thought that I may die quickly is not constantly in my mind... Of course, it's there, but it's not controlling me."

Dancing With The Stars airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
