Kanye West and Jimmy Kimmel sate down on Wednesday night to work out their past disagreement on air.

While West took offense to a Jimmy Kimmel Live spoof of his BBC Radio 1 interview, Kimmel was generally baffled as to why the rapper lashed out on Twitter after the fact.

West admitted he did not watch the spoof the entire way through since he didn't want to become more irate, but the Yeezus artist did take the time to explain why he reacted so badly.

At the heart of the problem was the fact that West actually knew Kimmel personally and did have the ability to call him up and complain whereas the musician does not have that ability when it comes to similar headlines and conversations in other media.

"This is the one person I know," West said of Kimmel. "I can go and let out everything I feel about every bogus Weekly cover, every single bogus skit...every thing that people feel is okay to treat celebrities like zoo animals...It kind of elevated from a call that we had as men...and we kind of just took it back to high school."

Kimmel for his part was a little bothered by the fact that a person he has often vouched for as being a genuinely good guy, not the jerk that so many people see him as, would fight with him in such a manner.

"I personally found it odd to be in the position I was in because...I don't know if you know this but a lot of people think you're a jerk and I often...say, 'I know this guy, e is not a jerk.'"

The host then inquired about West's decision to candidly call him self a "genius" and one of the greatest "rock stars."

"I'm totally honest," West explained. "For me to say I wasn't a genius, I would just be lying to you and to myself."

West also explained the issue of the leather jogging pants, claiming that the idea was something he pitched during his long attempt to get into

"I'm only 36 years old, I have other goals, other dreams," West said of his desire to bring his new concepts to areas as far ranging as education and fashion. "That was the point of the Zane [Lowe] interview, saying people don't stand up and protect their vision."

Now that both sides have had their chance to speak their mind, it appears the West/Kimmel feud has come to an end.
