Supermodel Kate Upton is officially off the market.

Dancing with the Stars alum Maksim Chmerkovskiy confirmed that he is dating the Sports Illustrated model in a recent interview with Us Weekly.

"She's an amazing person," the ballroom dancer told the magazine.

"We have an incredible time together, and, you know, I definitely didn't see that coming and I think neither did she.  We enjoy each other's company very much and like I said, she's a great girl that I never thought anything romantic like this could have happened," Chmerkovskiy added.

For more than a year now there have been rumors circulating that the stars were dating after they were seen holding hands, kissing and cuddling during dinner and around the model's 21st birthday in June.

"They were very canoodly," a source said, commenting on a dinner date the pair went on earlier in October. "It was a very intimate meal."

The two were photographed holding hands while walking through New York's West Village in late September. This public display of affection confirmed the rumors even if they still did not announce that they were dating.

Even Chmerkovskiy's brother Val, who is currently a DWTS pro and the partner of Elizabeth Berkley, was very supportive of the relationship. He has nothing but praises for his older brother's lady love.

"I think she's awesome," Val told the magazine. "She's a great girl, and we're great friends. She's an incredible chick and we have a great time."
