June Squibb, who will play Hannah's grandmother on the show, told the publication her character will fall critically ill on the show and Hannah and her friends, including Adam, will visit her at the hospital

"The grandmother is actually in a hospital," she said. "And [Hannah's] mother and the mother's two sisters and Hannah and Hannah's boyfriend all come ... Adam, he was in the scene."

Squibb plays Bruce Dern's wife in Nebraska. The film will release on Nov. 22.
