In a market that is already saturated with bacon themed products, one Seattle company is hoping to break from the more traditional marketing routes by promoting a bacon-scented deodorant for consumers.

J&D Foods, started by Justin Esch and Dave Lefkow in 2007, which is already known for its bacon-flavored seasoning salt, has unleashed a new bacon-scented deodorant that went on sale Nov. 7.

The goal, they told KIRO-TV, is to make it a must-have stocking stuffer item for bacon lovers who want to add some extra scent to their underarms aside from the usual options.

"We realize that everyone loves bacon," Esch said. "Well, now everyone can small like it every day."

On the company's website, they market the product, known as POWER BACON, with a clever slogan of "Power Bacon...For When You Sweat Like a Pig."

The description to help sell it reads "Using POWER BACON will probably make everyone drawn to you like you were the most powerful magnet on Earth, And by everyone, we mean friends, acquaintances, beautiful strangers, dogs, bears, swamp alligators, lions and even pigs. It's like an aphrodisiac for your armpits. But use your new power wisely, because with great bacon power comes great baconsponsibility."

The product is available on www.powerbacon.com, where it sells for $9.99, and is not the only product the company has released since they burst onto the scene six years ago.

The company also has BaconPop, Baconnaise, Bacon Lip Balm, BaconLube, Bacon Sunscreen, bacon Croutons, and even a Bacon Coffin.
