Jennifer Lawrence flaunted her new pixie cut during the premiere of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire at the Odeon Leicester Square in London, England on Monday.

The 23-year-old, who walked the red carpet along with co-stars Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson, complemented her new cut with a Christian Dior gown. The backless white dress included a colorful beaded pattern on one side.

During a Q&A held on Nov. 6, Lawrence explained to Yahoo! why she decided to cut off her long hair.

"I don't know, I cut it earlier, and it was just kind of like [shoulder-length] and it grew to that awkward, gross length, and I just kept putting it back in a bun, and I said, 'Well I don't want to do this,' so I just cut it off. It just couldn't get any uglier," she said.

Yet, fans can see Lawrence with long hair when the new Hunger Games hits theaters. The second installment focuses on District 12's Katniss (Lawrence) and Peeta (Hutcherson) who embark on their victory tour. As they travel through the other districts, they realize the impact their actions have made.
