Jennifer Lawrence is on the cover of U.K.'s Harper's Bazaar where she opened up about how she felt being criticized for her weight when she was younger.

"I was young. It was just the kind of s--t that actresses have to go through," she told the magazine in the November 2013 issue. "Somebody told me I was fat, that I was going to get fired if I didn't lose a certain amount of weight."

The 23-year-old actress also recalled being given photos as "motivation" to lose weight. While she said some people believe that the incident shouldn't bother her anymore, especially because of her professional success and Oscar win, she still feels hurt.

"I was a little girl," she said. "It doesn't matter what accolades you get. I know it'll never happen to me again. If anybody even tries to whisper the word 'diet', I'm like, 'You can go f--k yourself.'"

Lawrence also previously spoke about her body image during an interview with Elle magazine in 2012.

"I'm never going to starve myself for a part," she told the magazine. "I don't want little girls to be like, 'Oh, I want to look like Katniss, so I'm going to skip dinner.' That's something I was really conscious of during training, when you're trying to get your body to look exactly right. I was trying to get my body to look fit and strong, not thin and underfed."

The actress also told Bazaar about the backlash she received for another moment - her Oscar acceptance speech in February. As she went to accept her award for Best Actress for Silver Linings Playbook, the actress memorably tripped on the stairs.

"Other people are getting up and owning the stage and you sound like a stuttering idiot. Pull it together,'" she recalled being told. "And I said, 'I'm not doing it on purpose, I'm uncomfortable and when people get uncomfortable they resort to their s--t. I make awkward jokes and stutter."
