Miley Cyrus covered Lena Del Ray's Summertime Sadness for Radio One's Live Lounge and the clip was released on Nov. 12.

Cyrus also entertained a parody of herself on a Radio One show with host Greg James, who stripped down to his underwear, wore lipstick, and perched himself on a wrecking ball to welcome Cyrus. James had done a full-fledged parody of Wrecking Ball in September.

"Oh my god! What are you doing naked?!" Cyrus exclaimed at seeing James in the studio not dressed in his regular attire. "This is really bad, and none of the kids should see you like this."

Cyrus then went on to jokingly spout recent criticisms about her own image: "You are a bad influence on the world," "You are the worst pop star in the world."

As Greg pleaded to her and said that he thought it was a nice way of greeting her, she agreed and got on to the ball with him.

"It feels like we came in on the wrecking ball together," she quipped.

James went on to speak to Cyrus about his experience shooting the parody and what it was like for the singer filming the official video for Wrecking Ball.

The minimalist and stripped down version of Lana Del Ray's song features Cyrus, a few lilting back up singers, an acoustic guitar and a synth. The chugging thrum of the guitar is given definition by the soft plinking of the keys, as Cyrus launches in to the verse of the song. The 20-year-old singer strikes a nice balance between casual and cathartic, smoothly assuming the overwhelming sensitivity of the song without losing the cool atmosphere of the unplugged session.

Cyrus seemed to have already hinted at this performance before the MTV Europena Music Awards, which took place on Nov. 10. The singer tweeted a selfie of her stepping into the shower earlier during that day.

"I got that shower time showerrrrrr time selfiiiie. (A la lana del ray) #happyemas," she captioned the shot.

While Cyrus' performance at the EMAs didn't shock some viewers who thought it was tamer than her performance at the MTV Video Music Awards, this time she chose to surprise by casually lighting up a joint on stage while giving her acceptance speech.
