Oklahoma lost a shot at a Big 12 Conference title and a Championship Series when they got defeated by Baylor last week, but their goal is to still win.

But in order to win, coach Bob Stoops will be sticking with his normal quarterbacks and is fine with the way the program is headed. He did not publicly criticize quarterback Blake Bell or co-offensive coordinators Josh Heupel or Jay Norvell after the 41-12 loss against No. 5 Baylor.

Stoops said Bell will remain the starter when they play Iowa State on Saturday.

"We've just got to be able to throw the football better. We'll continue to work on that," said Stoops, who later added: "I'm not going to change what we're doing with the quarterbacks" regarding playing time.

Iowa State on the otherhand has been plagued by injuries, mainly along the offensive line, where they were force to start eight different combinations (involving 10 players) in nine games. But the Cyclones have remained competitive, evwn though, as four of its losses - to Iowa, Texas, Texas Tech and TCU - have come by a combined 18 points.

"I think the fans that follow Iowa State football are highly intelligent fans," Rhodes said. "I think the fans recognize that we entered the season with a very youthful and inexperienced team that was quickly decimated by injuries at the offensive line and severely affected at the quarterback position, and thus you're going to struggle because of it."
