Miranda Lambert stunned fans with her lighter frame at the 47th Country Music Awards in early November and, despite the singer's denouncement of the claims, some sources still believe the star lost weight via surgery.

As soon as the 30-year-old performer made her debut on the Red Carpet in a shapely, formfitting blue dress rumors started to fly about how the country artist got into such good shape.

While Lambert credits her physique to a change in diet and workout sessions at the Nashville based Crutch Camp, others claim the artist used stomach-stapling surgery instead.

"Miranda is bragging that she dropped 30 pounds in just three months," said an insider, according to The National Enquirer. "But up until mid-October, she still looked chubby and out of shape. Now there's buzz swirling, even in Miranda's camp, that she secretly had a stomach stapling operation. People are saying that's the real reason for her sudden slim-down. Otherwise, the timeline of her weight loss claims just doesn't add up."

Although the source claims Lambert is too "impatient and impulsive" to drop the pounds through diet and exercise, the Pistol Annies member struck back with a letter on her website.

"Though I NEVER care what the tabloids have to say about me... I wanted to address this certain story they are running this week and set the record straight. I DID NOT have surgery to lose weight. That is ridiculous. I lost my weight the healthy and good old-fashioned way. Watching what I eat and working out with my trainer Bill Crutchfield," Lambert explained. "So for anyone who is tempted to read the 'Trash Talk' please don't. I am proud to be a normal size girl and I want to encourage everyone to be confident at any size."
