Pippa Middleton is reportedly engaged to her boyfriend Nico Jackson.

Sources close to the couple revealed that Jackson proposed during an early December trip to India's Oberol Amarvilas, a five-star resort overlooking the Taj Mahal.

"It was exactly how he planned it," a source told Us Weekly. "Very romantic and grand!"

The source claimed that the couple has been celebrating the engagement in private and they plan to spend Boxing Day at the Middleton's Bucklebury estate before traveling to the Alps for the New Years.

Reports of their alleged engagement have not been confirmed by Middleton or Jackson, but Daily Mail cited a source close to Middleton that said her boyfriend has not proposed.

Middleton has been dating the banker for 15 months and engagement rumors first swirled in September. Enstars reported earlier Middleton is said to be designing her own engagement ring.

Sources previously said the wedding will take place in the springtime and is likely to take place at her parents' Bucklebury home, with the ceremony held at the church nearby the estate.

Jackson's mother said the couple is very happy together and will take the next step when they are ready.

"We're very pleased. They are happy, and that is all that matters," Ulrike Jackson told Daily Mail earlier this year. "As long as my children are happy, then I am happy."

Middleton first stole the show at her sister, Kate Middleton's wedding to Prince William in 2011 as the maid of honor. She is currently a writer for a British supermarket magazine, a party-planning book author and a columnist for Vanity Fair. She previously worked at her parents' online party-supplies empire.
