Dallas fans who are patiently waiting for the premiere of the TNT hit show's third season will be happy to know that the series pretty much picks up a few hours after the end of the second season left off.

According to TV Line, only 12 hours would have passed since the second season ended. By the end of the first episode there will only be a one week jump. Because there won't be a months or years gap, the show's audience won't have to try to fill in the blanks of what happened in between.

The new season will be mainly focused on efforts of trying to move forward from the epic death of JR Ewing.

Josh Henderson, who plays Ewing's son, John Ross, revealed lots of details of what viewers can expect during the third season. He told TV Fanatic in an article published Friday, that while Bobby his helping him figure out who killed his father, John and Christopher still don't see eye to eye on the family business, Ewing Global.

"Christopher is very much on Bobby's side when it comes to their beliefs, what they believe he should do when it comes to drilling Southfork, he believes the same as Bobby does. It's basically the opposite of what John Ross wants and believes the Ewings should de doing."

Henderson said that they still manage to work together, but it doesn't go much further than that.

"At the end of the day, Christopher never trusts John Ross no matter what I'm doing. We're not getting any friendlier necessarily this year...There is always so much family turmoil and we're always at each other's throats but as soon as an outside source comes in and threatens us we kind of band together."
