Once again, Hope (Kim Matula) and Liam (Scott Clifton) are left wondering what went wrong with their relationship after Hope ran out on their wedding on The Bold and the Beautiful.

After seeing Liam with Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) on her wedding day, Hope abandoned her plans to marry Liam yet again. She fled to join Wyatt (Darin Brooks) in Hawaii. She may finally be realizing that she and Liam may never work out as a couple, despite how much they want to.

"I feel like I'm finally understanding that," she said in a preview clip for the Monday, Dec. 23 episode.

Liam wants to explain to Hope that what she saw was actually innocent, and goes to Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) to find out where Hope has disappeared to. Unfortunately, when he gets there, he will find Brooke to be surprisingly hostile to him.

"Where is she Brooke?" he asked in the clip.

"I don't know," she replied.

"You don't know, or you're not telling me?" he angrily retorted.

"To tell you the truth, even if I knew, I probably wouldn't tell you," she replied. "Why don't you just leave her alone? Let her be with somebody who makes her happy."

Brooke appears to also be fed up with how many times her daughter's wedding plans to Liam have been aborted due to his refusing to cut ties with Steffy.

The Bold and the Beautiful airs Monday-Friday at 1:30 p.m. on CBS.
