Kensi Blye may be halfway around the world, but NCIS: Los Angeles will be drawing on the talents off all their agents in this January's "Allegiance."
The first episode back from the midseason hiatus will feature the death of a federal agent. After it is revealed that his murder is tied to the honor based money exchange system of hawala, a potential terrorist attack comes to light and NCIS will work to foil the upcoming attack by pooling their resources form Afghanistan and Los Angeles.
"E512-tease...the Afghan saga ramps up for Kensi and Granger. US currency plays a factor. #staytuned #NCISLA [Andrew Bartels] co-author! #danger," tweeted executive producer John Peter Kousakis on Thursday.
Despite this, Kensi's (Daniela Ruah) main mission during her seven-episode stay in Afghanistan is to track down and kill the infamous White Ghost. While the last person placed on the case was decapitated, Kensi is moving forward with a daring plan.
"2014 spoiler: Kensi gets serious about her mission in Afghanistan. Her plan to capture the White ghost is bold! #NCISLA," Kousakis teased via Twitter.
Although Kensi is in danger from both the White Ghost and the potential traitor she is trying to smoke out, the agent now has a lifeline back to Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) and Hetty (Linda Hunt) thanks to her new secure satellite phone (see video below). Stay tuned for more news on the possible mole.
NCIS: LA airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
