While Farrah Abraham's sex tape might have helped her become the most-searched reality star of 2013, she now admits that the film "ruined [her life]."

Farrah Superstar: Backdoor Teen Mom affected her personal life in a negative way and she regrets ever making the movie, she told In Touch in its latest issue, on newsstands now.

"It made it hard to have friends and a private life and to trust family, who I feel use me for money," she said. "If I went back in time, I would not have done it. The sex tape ruined my life."

The former Teen Mom star said she was warned by family members not to release the tape because of the impact it would have on her 4-year-old daughter, Sophia. She didn't see what was wrong will making the film public until it was too late.

"Knowing my sex tape was out there for everyone in the world to see...was overwhelming. I wanted to hide my face and not go out or pick up my phone," she said.

Abraham has since gotten over her fear of being in the public eye and now appears on season 4 of VH1's Couple's Therapy. She is the first cast member in the history of the series to be on the show without a significant other.
