In the highly anticipated Man of Steel 2, each of the superheroes in the Justice League might make an appearance.

After Jason Momoa denied any involvement with Man of Steel 2, Bada-- Digest revealed that the actor was actually up for the role of Aquaman. However, the role is only intended to be a cameo to tease fans ahead of the Justice League movie, according to the report.

With Superman (Henry Cavill), Batman (Ben Affleck) and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) already set to appear in Man of Steel 2, Aquaman and the rest of the Justice League might be joining them. There have already been rumors of appearances for Green Lantern, the Flash, Martian Manhunter and now Aquaman.

In addition to Momoa, actor Josh Holloway (Lost) has been mentioned as a possible contender to play Aquaman, though the actor is currently starring on the new CBS drama Intelligence.

There are also reports that the Justice League movie will be filmed immediately after production wraps on Man of Steel 2.

Both Lex Luthor and Doomsday to be the Villains of Batman vs. Superman? 

In addition to Cavill, Affleck and Gadot, there are only a few other actors who have officially been announced to be participating in the film. Amy Adams is set to return as Lois Lane, as is Laurence Fishburne and Perry White and Diane Lane as Martha Kent.

Production on Man of Steel 2 is set to begin within the next few weeks and last through the spring.
