Miley Cyrus had been flashing her engagement ring around, and also tweeted a picture of her engagement ring recently, sparking rumors that she may be getting hitched.  And now the rumor proves to be true as the pair announce their engagement. The ring is a 3.5 carat diamond gold ring.The ring is said to be from Hollywood jeweler Neil Lane.

19-year-old Miley Cyrus and "Hunger Games" star Liam Hemsworth have been together for three years. Liam, 22, reportedly popped the question to the daughter of country music star Bily Ray Cyrus on May 31.


Hemsworth, and Cyrus, hooked up while starring in the movie "The Last Song" in 2009. Cyrus told People: "I'm so happy to be engaged and look forward to a life of happiness with Liam."


Miley's current image is from from her Hannah Montana days. She has been photographed dressed in risque outfits and has even shot her first sex scene for a movie.

Cyrus's engagement also sparked rumors that she may be pregnant. She had recently speaking candidly about her opinion on sex. "Sex actually is really beautiful," she said. "It's the only way that we create and it's the only way that the world keeps going."

She also told Amanda DeCadenet: "It's ignorant to not talk to your kids about it or to (not) make it seem as magical and cool as it actually is. They (teenagers) have a TV; they know what sex is... Educate them. Let them know that they wouldn't be here without it. It is a beautiful thing and it is magic and it is when you connect with somebody - and it isn't how much you're worth."
