Hawaii Five-0's Steve McGarrett and Danny Williams are having a rough day in paradise as an escaped criminal leaves them handcuffed together.

When a fugitive takes Steve and Danno captive in their own vehicle during "Nā hala a ka makua (Sins of the Father)," the duo will spend a large majority of the episode driving around the island while handcuffed together, according to a recent promo photo (see above). Intent on getting Five-0 to clear his name, the prisoner's hijacking of the partners' car result in a healthy dose of bickering, something viewers will be relieved to see after Caan has missed so many episodes this season.

The pairs' frequent car-based arguments, or carguments, have become a staple of the show over the last few seasons, a fact which Caan recognized during a season 3 interview.

"In the first season, I feel we sort of ran on getting to know each other as characters. You have a lot more to argue about when you're trying to decide whether you like somebody or not," Caan explained, according to USA Today. "Now, the arguments have turned more into brothers that argue, which is great, too, as long as there's something to disagree on."

One of Caan's character's other constants is love for his daughter, Grace (Teilor Grubbs). Although his youngster is quickly growing up (as evidenced by her punching another student during "Sins of the Father"), the criminal's threat to make her hear Danno die will undoubtedly still flip the detective's paternal protection switch (see video below).

Hawaii Five-0 airs Fridays at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
