FX has published a press release for The Americans season 2 premiere, revealing new information Elizabeth (Keri Russell), Philip (Matthew Rhys) and more.

The Americans season 2 picks up where the season 1 finale left off with Elizabeth recovering from her injury. The season 2 premiere episode is titled Comrades and features Elizabeth going into another mission that should have been easy but ends up going wrong.

Elizabeth and Philip become worried that their success in America will be put in question, as well as their success as a family. Their curious daughter Paige (Holly Taylor) becomes even more suspicious about her parents after Elizabeth's long absence from home.

Meanwhile, Stan (Noah Emmerich) begins to feel even stronger feelings for Nina (Annet Mahendru), the Soviet mole who is continuing to play him.

The season 2 premiere is written by the show's executive producers, Joel Fields and Joe Weisberg and directed by famed television director Thomas Schlamme.

The Stan-Nina relationship will be disrupted by actress Meryl Streep in the season 2 premiere. As previously reported by TVLine, Streep will "drive a wedge" between Stan and Nina, though the details of this plot line are not yet clear.

Season 2 of The Americans will feature the return of Margo Martindale in her Emmy-nominated role as Claudia, the KGB supervisor. Claudia was shipped back to the Soviet Union in the season 1 finale, but she will be back in season 2 for at least one episode.

The Americans season 2 premieres Wednesday, Feb. 26 at 10 p.m. on FX.
