Black Sails brought in 3.5 million viewers for its premiere, and the Starz Treasure Island prequel is moving quickly forward with "II."

Following Captain Flint (Toby Stephens) and Billy Bone's (Tom Hopper) declaration that they had recovered the valuable missing page, John Silver (Luke Arnold) momentarily had the upper hand over the rest of the crew since he knew of their deception. However, thanks to Max (Jessica Parker Kennedy), Rackham (Toby Schmitz) and Captain Vain (Zach McGowan) soon know who has the paper and Flint is aware the thief is on his ship.

As Silver begins to suspect Flint is on to him, his leverage puts his life on the line.

"Pirates weren't really about the parrot on your shoulder and eyeliner," Kennedy stated in a featurette, giving a bleak picture of the people Silver is up against. "There are a lot of characters in this show who were real people. There's a grit to them that's very raw and very, very dangerous."

Meanwhile, Eleanor Guthrie (Hannah New) seems to want to stay rooted in this world. An offer will come across her desk that could allow her to giver her "town" independence from England, according to Spoiler TV. For a pirate haven and trading center of illicit goods, this could be a very attractive offer.

"It's a story about people who feel disenfranchised, who feel like the economic system they are living under is really not built for them," explained executive producer Jonathan E. Steinberg in a featurette. "Once you start to see it like that it's a very different world. Now they're not people who are swinging across ropes and having an adventure, they are people who struggling against a system that's unjust."
