As early preparations begin on American Horror Story season 4, the new concept and cast are some of the biggest topics of speculation among fans.

American Horror Story fans still do not know what the concept of season 4 will be, though co-creator Brad Falchuk recently dropped a hint to E! Online.

Falchuk spoke to E! Online about the season 4 concept and said that there is a clue in the American Horror Story: Coven finale that "nobody has guessed yet." The E! Online report also includes the word "BALENCIAGA!" which was screamed by Myrtle Snow (Frances Conroy) in the Coven finale.

Season 4 Concept Revealed at PaleyFest 2014?

Assuming Balenciaga is some sort of clue for season 4, it could have some sort of connection to Brigitte Höss, according to a HollywoodLife theory. Höss was a model in the 1950s who worked for Balenciaga, the French fashion house.

Höss was the daughter of Rudolf Höss, the commandant in Auschwitz in Nazi Germany where at least one million Jews were killed.

This would lend itself to American Horror Story co-creator Ryan Murphy's teasers that season 4 would take place in the 1950s and feature Jessica Lange's character having a German accent. While Lange would be too old to play Höss, she could potentially play a relative.

One clue from the Coven finale that has not been significantly explored is a brief reference to Liza Minnelli. When Cordelia (Sarah Paulson) was speaking in her TV interview about witches, there was a news tidbit at the bottom of the screen that said "Liza Minnelli talks about her hip."

Minnelli was famously the star of Cabaret, a 1972 movie musical that dealt with German themes. While the movie did not take place in America, the general concept of nightclubs and putting on a show could possibly be explored. Lange is said to be playing a Marlene Dietrich-type, a diva-like actress who was also known for her singing.

American Horror Story season 4 airs in fall 2014 on FX, though the network has not scheduled a specific start date yet.
